Holle is an ancient Germanic goddess who is found under many different names. She is the goddess of mothers and children, goddess of all things related to household and crafts. The entrance into her world leads through a well - the portal, the liminal space through witch souls come and leave. Holle is the guardian of the unborn souls and deceased children, and often also the leader of the Wild Hunt. A very complex ancient character, powerful deity who visits during midwinter.

She is dressed in several layers of different fabrics, because Holle has traveled through times to reach today, and many layers of thought have been put on her shoulders to hide her.

As the goddess related to the craft of spinning flax to make linen she has linen thread hair, yet, to emphasize her wild side it's not straight and in perfect order, it's rather wildly falling and flowing all around her.

As the goddess who takes care of the unborn souls and deceased children she carries a few souls warmly tucked in under her warm cape.

One the other hand she carries a bag of rewards (it is filled with gifts). Holle is the one who judges and gives what is deserved, it would be something good and it could be something undesired, but deserved.

Holles' tree is elder - the tree of transitions, death, rebirth and transformation. Elder tree links life and death, just like winter with the deepest point on solstice. She needed a crown, so she got this improvised elderberry crown.

Holle is 39cm/15.3” tall, freely standing on her own 2 feet. You can change the positions of her hands and feet, give her something small to hold or make her sit. Made of pre-loved materials. Her face is hand-sculpted and hand-painted. One of a kind signed art doll.
