Everything is in bloom, this year early. Apple trees, pears, cherries, plums and other berries are richly dressed in flowers, but the old Mother Frost still wants to come for a visit. The day before her visit the following night I met a fairy sitting in a blooming apple tree, doing something with a red thread in her hands and with a sunny smile on her face. She taught me a spell explaining herself: "When in bloom, take that energy of joy, happiness, health and vitality and tie a knot. In that knot you save a part of it for later. You can't avoid each frost and protect yourself against each downfall, but when it happens and obstacles are pushing you back, take the knotted thread, untie the knot and release the precious energy you've binded from the blooming days tied in that knot."
